 | Greg Smith of Consulting Partners, Inc. - ToolBook Neuron
Demonstration - Every day, more and more companies are entering the local
telephone service market, many with little or no understanding of the complex nature of
telephone service order fulfillment. GTE has set the standard for supporting these
Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLEC), by providing regional training sessions for
order processing personnel. However, this was only a temporary measure until the launch of
the CLEC Ordering Support System (COSS), complete with a dedicated web site, online
ordering capability, and interactive training, serving a national audience. The training
was developed by Consulting Partners consultants using ToolBook II Instructor and the
Neuron plug-in. |

 | Panel Discussion of OnLine Learning 98 -
A panel of local attendees to the OnLine Learning 98 Conference (September 23rd-25th)
in Anaheim, CA will discuss what they saw and learned, as well as their impressions of the
current state and future of computer based training. Due to the number of attractive
but concurrently run sessions, it was impossible for a single attendee to see and hear
everything available at the conference. This will be an excellent opportunity for
local members who missed the opportunity to travel to the west coast to learn more about
what occurred at the annual ToolBook developers conference. Panel participants are
being asked to bring handouts collected at the conference for review. |
